I like that flat-type rock! I've never seen that around here. Looks like it would be difficult to scape with, but you did a great job! Is that a yellow-headed jaw fish or goby in last pic? Very nice tank. :)

Well kind of a sad story... My female percula clownfish jumped the tank. :( so I replaced her with two black ocellaris with hopes of a new hierarchy being established. So far they seem to be ok together.

And that is a goby. He is a vacuum! Pros definitely out way the cons however he spits sand everywhere!

I'm sorry to hear about your clown. I hope the 3 clowns works out for you, but from everything I've read, 3 doesn't work out well once they're grown because 2 will pair up as mates and then pick on the other one mercilessly until he dies. :( On a lighter note, that goby is super cute!! ;)

i think the reason everyone is asking is we have not seen any with orange fins and black and white bodies, is that the lights doing that or is the fish really colored like that? if you dont mind me asking how did your previous tank explode?

No that's their coloration. Super beautiful fish. I went back to my LPS and they have another pair there. Must be something their provider does.

And the tank exploded bc I bought it second hand and didn't think to ask how long ago it was sealed. Water slowly got in between the panes and forced open a corner. I was blessed that I had just done a water change and was standing in front of it with buckets when it began to go.

Just got a new BTA! After the first night he moved right in front of one of the caves my goby had dug ;) ... Needless to say my goby is not to happy that one of his homes is blocked

Just an update on my tank. I've got it to a place where I am very happy with it. My tank now has a yellow tang, heavy black percula, flame angel, dwarf fuzzy lionfish, goby, cleaner shrimp, multiple species of hermit crabs and snails. Plus I just Added a branching hammer coral to my tank which sparks the beginning of a mixed reef.

Just got a new montipora to add to the collection. It's been a few months and I have been taking it quite slow as far as adding life to the tank. However, everything is showing a lot of signs if growth! Adding my ATO system I think has a direct correlation with this.

My sacrophyton and crown leather are getting quite large and my zoas are beginning to become a garden. (Any ideas of cool zoa species to add?)

Anyway, wanted to show were the tank is after 7 months or so :)

Cheers

That's spectacular and your water is SO clear! FANTASTIC tank

Thank you. I run carbon, phosband, and a uv filter (on a timer) seems to be doin the trick :)

This build I'm trying to focus on patience. Hoping it really pays off on the end lol
