they passed the vinigar test its all clean no pest or herbicide it sinkks but how do i get the darn whiteout off

I just use clorox if that's what you mean lol. It just needs to rinse a lot after.

I would think that if you can scrub it that hard under hot water than it is not going to come off and harm your tank.

The reason the rock is red is because of the iron content. I don't think it will be good for your fish. It will leach out the iron and other metals in due time.
