New style for my tanks

I finally decided to do something with all my tanks. I have 3 20 gallons which i am putting on one long metal shelf in the garage, below which will have a central filter. This will be my practice tanks, breeders, QT, and everything that does not look that good. In my room will be a 29, 55, and a new 35. Any ideas of what to try in a 20 gallon that is not necessarily good to look at but cool to do?

do you mean as far as fish ?? or decor??

fish, like breeding or prant prop. that would not be that good to look at in a show tank, but something for me to try out of view.

Why do you want to breed ugly fish?

not ugly fish, just fish that may need ugly conditions to breed, like killies with peat moss.

When you say "central filter", does this mean that the QT and the others will be sharing water?

I havent decided yet with the filter. I think they will each just have a sponge filter and HOB. I can see where you qare getting at with the sharing water, and i will make sure not to share water amng sick fish tanks. Thanks for the insight though!
