Hey Gang,

If I am treating my tank for elevated Ammonia levels (currently 1.0ppm) what is the best way to treat this?

A) Get some Ammo-Carb and continue with daily WC until levels drop to zero?
B) Get some Colony Bacteria Supplement and continue daily WC?
C) Get some Seachem Prime and continue with daily WC?
D) Do some combination of the above?

Thanks!

do a 50% water change, then do 20% every day until it drops to 0. I dont know much about those products though.

Prime will detoxify 1ppm ammonia for 24 hrs, removing the need for waterchanges for ammonia levels at or below 1ppm. Dose daily until your filter is able to process the ammonia.

Yes it is a tank with fish. I actually dont have Prime right now (planning on buying this weekend). For now I will just continue to do daily 50% WC and keep an eye on it. I think I added to many fish too soon so the BB hasn't had time to catch up yet. The fish all seem to be doing okay (active, no red gills and no gasping for air) so far. Thanks for all the suggestions.
