I started a fishless cycle in a 10 gallon tank a couple of weeks ago with pure ammonia. I have an air stone, and a heater with the heat at around 83 degrees.

I tested my water today with these results:

Ph: 7.6ppm

Ammonia: around 2ppm from 4ppm about 6 days ago.

Nitrite: Alot. Over the 5ppm on the chart.

Nitrate: around 10ppm

I don't want to stall my cycle. Will this nitrite spike slow my cycle? Do I need to do a water change?

I would wait stop adding ammuioa to the point where you don't add anything. Then, you would add fish after everything is gone to 0ppm expect the nitrate. Water change if you feel like it. If your at the 3 week cycle do a water change then just add fish. Lol
