We're very new to aquariums and had one 10gal. model up and running for about 3 months. Has a series of "ick" episodes but now seem to have a situaiton where there appears to be no ammonia but high nitrites. One of Mollies appears to heading out and a Tetra died earlier today. We just completed an ick treatment. Again, we're very new to this. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The best thing for ich is a natural treatment involving heat and salt. An article about FW ich is located in the Articles section.

More than likely with the meds to treat ich, you killed off some or all of the bacteria in the tank--meaning it is going to cycle again. There is a great article about the nitrogen cycle in the Articles section as well.

You need to be doing daily water changes to keep the levels down and save your fish as the tank cycles.
What are your readings for nitrites, nitrates, and ammonia?

Not sure on actual readings, my wife usually does the tests. Water change we will do. This morning we noticed that the black mollie has a band of white, cotton fungus?, around his tail. Will turn up heat and keep light off. BTW, how much salt can safely be added? Thanks you very much for the advice.
