Hey
I have two balloon-bellied mollies in my ten gallon tank (one male and one female). Today, i found my female with her nose in the gravel floating straight up. She's barely moving and barely breathing. I tested the water and the parameters are fine. I turned the heat up a little b/c it was down to 73. Not the temp is around 78. The male is doing fine, i don't see any change in him. What in the world is going on?

its too late. she died.

which really sucks b/c she was my favorite fish. she seemed to be young. i haven't had her for that long.

does anyone have any idea why she might have died?

Sounds like she got a bacterial infection.
I would recomend moving the other fish to another tank or a temporary home and cleaning up your tank really well with some vinager and water mix - rinse overnight!! - or the male may be next.
My friend had a betta that died that very same way.
