I've uploaded some pictures of my live rock and how it is covered in algae.
I have a 40g reef tank. Two weeks ago I completly cleabed the algae and now they're back.
My nitrates and phos. are under 1ppm.

Please help with id of what I'm dealing with here and of course advice on how to get rid of it will be much appriciated.

Thanks!

How long are your lights on a day? What type of lights? Any sunlight getting in there ?whens the last time u changed the bulbs? Just to rule out lighting issues first.

Lights are on for about 9 hours a day. No sunlight. I change bulbs yearly. 4x24T5s.

hair algae. lowering the nutrient level is your best defense. i have just read a thread about hydrogen peroxide dosing that was quite interesting also. google it.

Very interesting.

I've used hydrogen peroxide in FW tanks with good results. Also once with poor results to the fish due to overdosing.
