Ok what the hell ?

Is this coraline ? I've seen it on a few pieces of rock now , dose bit seem to be spreading very fast, been there like that for about 1 week - 10 days , I have a few nice pieces of purple rock from a LFS. I have 2 18 inch 10k T8's coralife for a total of 30W( yes yes I know I need better lights ) . Would this affect the color of coraline algae ?

If its the top of the rock were looking at it looks a lot like normal algae to me but I could be wrong. I would presume coralline needs better lighting to bloom

It's on the " front " side of the rock, I has some on random sections , I have a small spot of green algae growing , and this dose not seem the " behave " in the same way , it dosent flow in the water current or seem to be getting any larger :-/ just kinda showed up :-/ but I will continue to keep a eye on it

Yeah just wait a while see what happens, I couldn't see it growing without better lighting though.

Many coralline algae are very low light species. Including the green types, I believe.
