Opaline and golden gouramie tankmates?

I have some gouramies and a whole bunch of catfish in a 30 gallon tank that has many caverns and plants, but I need some good all level swimmers in my tank. I know gouramies are aggressive, so I need to know some tankmates to put In with them. I'm also thinking about putting in some Pictus catfish...

I think 30 gallons is a bit small for two of the larger sized gourami's, regardless of gender they will fight for territory. I didn't have luck with blue/gold/opaline gourami's being together without fights in anything smaller than a 55. I'd suggest dwarf gourami's. I'm not sure about the cat, hopefully someone will chime in.
