Otocinclus and plants

I recently have seen mysterious holes in my new plant growth on my java fern . The java is now 3 weeks old. Could my oto potentially be eating the leaves? Here's a pic.

Not Otocinclus. Mine eat stuff off my plants but I've never seen any holes.
