Parrot Cichlid tank mate

So much for the angel fish being one of the beat tank mats for my parrot. He went after the poor thing as soon as I put him and ate his eyes out.

He is leaving the other one alone, but he already killed one of the two I bought. :-(

Update: Nevermind he is already chasing the other one. I'm going to rearrange the rocks caves. Hopefully that will help.

Welp, I tried. He killed the other one. :-( I thought I did my research on good tank mates. Made sure my water was good, made sure there was a lot of hiding spaces, even rearrange my tank.

Any suggestions from people that have had these guys? I necessarily don't want a single fish in my tank. I like him and will do so if I must.

I was thinking of some actual cichlids? I was going to get dwaf gouramis, but I fear they will go the way of the angel fish. Thanks for the advice.

What sort of parrot cichlid is it?
How big is the fish?
How long has the parrot? been in the tank?

What are the tank dimensions (length x width x height)?
Can you post a picture of the entire tank so we can see the set up?
