In a quick read I have found that the pearlscales result from two recessive genes and the shine comes from malformed scales.
My family really like the look of the shine and I am going to consider getting one some time.
Do the pearlscales get to be the same size as other angels? Do they have any health issues? I am pretty good with my tanks but I have figured out I can't do really sensative fish. Is there anything else I need to know about this kind of fish?
