I have a ph around 8. how big of an issue Is that and how do I fert it down? I water change once a week and added driftwood about 2 months ago.
thanks

Your Ph is good, fish will adapt. Just make sure it stays stable, no big fluctuations.

Agreed with above.

It's more important to have a stable pH then trying to shoot it down to 7. The tannins from the DW will change it eventually. I wouldn't worry too much about it right now.

You can always add peat to your filter or use Indian Almond Leaves but it isn't going to change your ph much. As already stated most fish will adjust to your tanks ph and it's not worth the risk or effort of trying to change it.

ok thanks guys. that's what I've heard before but I wanted to double check.

I have peat balls from tyne view aquatics in the uk, ph in my tank has been a steady 6.6 since I added it. Perfect if you want to lower the ph
