It's a background made to look like rock.
Made from some kind of foam.
Blends in quite nicely now. Plenty of coralline on it.

Wow! First tank? Incredible job!! I love the depth and the rock work.....some people are just naturals--good eye. Looks bigger than 100 gallons too.
