So far in my oscar tank, i have some caves and drift wood things like that. i was wondering though should I put some plants in there.? I wouldn't like real plants, but I was thinking about maybe some plastic ones? My uncle who use to keep cichlid tanks said that he never had any luck keeping plants, and they would always get torn up.

No such thing....lol......oscars love plants more then we do.... lol.
No but for real you can give it a shot, but I know most Oscars that have reach puberty, Wich is around 8 months old start tearing up plants crazy.....

My guys are like a professional wrecking crew, flipping over plants ,rocks, flowerpots, and diggings holes down to the glass. Each weekly cleaning involves putting the tank back together. Like I said before it's their world and I'm just cleaning it. Each fish is different so maybe youll be the exception to the rule.

Thanks for your help. Ill think ill give it a shot, ill let yall know how it all turns out.
