What kind of cichlids I know African cichlids eat some plants situate why I'm asking. Plecos won't eat plants but will dig them up my old bristlenose never did but commons do all the time!

African Cichlids eat plants at least many of them do.

Try Anubias and Java Ferns

As coursair suggested try anubias and java fern. I have amazon swords in mine but have peacocks and only young yellow labs.
