looks like duckweed. I only keep it in my outdoor breeding stock tubs. In indoor tanks its highly invasive and becomes a weed.

Yes it's great for them to eat, yes you could use it in your tank, but your tank would end up looking like that pond. You can scoop it up and freeze it or dehydrate it and use it as food to prevent it from over growing the tank.
