keep her in a breeders pin in the tank and as far as sucking up the fry I would just use a net and swirl it around to get the build up. not until they are a 3rd of moms size can you use it, since they aren't to strong of swimmers until then.So I had my first fry!! It was from a mosquito fish. But I didn't expect soo many fry, there are like 30 already and the mom is still huge! So I have 2 ten gallon tanks and the breeding one is packed with plants and has all the newborn fry swimming in it now. However, I want to put my pregnant female in there too to drop and I don't want her to eat the current fry! Any suggestions? Also, is there a way to siphon the tank without sucking up fry?

Well I thought last night she'll be having the fish in the next couple of days... And woke up this morning and find a few fry, and before I knew I had caught 21!!! So I now have 29 fry lol... I think I'm going to have to remove the male!! Lol
