Nice looking Koi. I have plans to build a portable pond for my Comets soon. Will you be adding extra Koi when your pond is made? how big do you plan to make it?

My plan is to build a wooden frame 2m x 1m x 80cm and drape pond liner into it. The interior wont be all that pretty but i plan to dress the top with a hidden overhead sump that leads to a refugium style planter box around the rim of the frame that gets fed by a waterfall from the sump. It should wind up being around 420 Gallons. I probably made loads of Comets die needlessly in a 20g when i started keeping fish so I would like to let a few live in conditions that they will enjoy. Hopefully they wind up paying for their upkeep by breeding. I'm toying with running an overhead aquaponics setup to grow food to supplement their diet.
