Pregnant Cherry Barbs?

So in my batch of 10 cherry barbs that i bought recently, two of them looked pregnant. I wanted to come here and get some clarification on the matter.

They lay eggs right?
 
Just to be clear, egg layers can't be pregnant. When they have eggs, they are called "gravid" as Samzter said. Only fish that give birth to live young (Guppies, Mollies, Platies, Swordtails, etc.) can, by definition, be pregnant.

I know it sounds like I'm being fussy but when you are dealing with fish questions, proper terminology will get you better answers. ;)
