i bought a botle of prime bout a week ago no big deal use it 2 or 3 times no big deal yesterday i was making a bucket of top up water (yess crappy tap water for a couple more weeks) thier was tons of tiny black specks in the bottle i noticed righ away cause i pour it in the cap first so does any one know what the hecks goin on should i use it anyway wich i did or take it back wich i will be told its supposed to be like that or should i call seachem and check if i won a trip to a seachem bikini barbquee

Here is Seachems response, I was curious as well....

The black specs are just excess Prime. Prime is as concentrated as we can make it. Sometimes excess will precipitate out and that is what the black specs are.

FYI, Prime is bisulfite and hydrosulfite salts. Although Seachem was not specific, I would surmise the black specs are a precipitate of sulphites.

Cheers
