Pros and Cons of Filter Sock

Rather than using actual filter socks, I've been using cheap panty hose. Changed out and thrown out as needed. Considered going back to actual filter socks if I could find the right material to make my own.

AquaMaxx Filter Pad

I've been using this stuff with great results. It's essentially the same material but in sheets, 18x36, 24x36 and 36x36 and comes in 50 micron, 100 micron and something they call "Pureflo".
