Pump and skim box For Aqua-c Remora's

I have this Aqua-c Remora w/a maxi-jet 1200, and I see they also run Mag drive 3”s they use on them. I noticed because I was looking at a Skim box for my skimmer pump ( Skimmer box ) and that’s when I noticed a different pump setup. The box is different for each pump so is there an advantage to the mag drive? Should I upgrade the pump? Do any of you consider that an upgrade, or just side stepping?

The mag 3 are only run on the pro's not the standard remoras.

The Skimmer boxes do not work with the mag pumps, they are too big i belive
