QT Tank/Ghost Shrimp Questions

I was thinking of adding three ghost shrimp to a 5g tank that will also house a betta.
It will have one cave-like structure, and 3-4 silk plants.

Anyways, my main question is how long should I keep the shrimp in a QT before it's safe to move them over?
And should I feed them algae wafers? My betta is fed pellets and there doesn't seem to be much that sinks to the bottom when he eats--I wouldn't want the shrimp to starve!

not sure how long to qt,but the shrimp will probaly get enough to eat.

Make sure your QT tank is cycled already
