Question about my red cap oranda

Hi there
Had my goldfish for about a year now
just recently started seeing a white on his red and I know it's not it it kind a looks like fungus so I have a question to see what it is I'll post a picture once I figure this site ouT

Not all goldfish stay the same color, it is might be just changing its color.

Fungus is pretty distinct. It looks like a white fuzz.
