Central American Cichlids

I am looking to identify two Nicaraguan Cichlids I bought and lost the name. Tried online to no avail and joined this group. Hoping someone has possibly raised them.
Did not know I had a pair until they mated, and now on third batch of fry! They share a 60gal with 5 Dempsies, a Midas and a Pleco. Very aggressive so much that the Midas will not mess around!

I have been reading through various threads and find a wealth of knowledge here. I am hoping those minds can help me ID these " cichlids" I bought at the store.
I was told they are Nicaraguan, but I cannot find them online, or they are some other area? I want to know so I am clear on their particular tendencies.
There are two pics of the male and the smaller, darker, female. They are ready to give me another batch of fry.
Thank you for the assist!

The mask across the eyes is unique as well. I want to know how they will develop as they grow and if I will have them around for a few years

yes they are nicaraguan, hypsophrys nicaraguensis to be specific. cute ones too! does the male have the norm good colouring? x

MBF! Thank you! The male has run from an almost golden tone to almost mirroring the black and white pattern of the female. They will look almost like twins when they bring the new batch of fry out into the tank!

Do you have them in the tank alone? Again, what a super beautiful fish!!!

Their neighbors are a mini white lobster and a Pleco. I had to re-home the Midas and the four Dempsies I had left.
I want to see how these two populate the tank now. I will have fry about in a day or two!

The fry have hatched! My looking about with my mini mag-lite made mama move them the the backside of the large rock center. The male has been harassing the Pleco but avoids the lobster. Mama is the opposite.

The 60 has undergone a revamp due to the fourth batch of fry being hatched, the death of a Dempsy and the imminent demise of other tank mates.
The Midas and four remaining JDs have found new homes and a Ghost White lobster has joined the tank.
Pics are forthcoming!

whats the scrapdaddy about? lol

I've always been a scrapper, and then became a daddy. Still scrappin' but it is done with more thought first! It is a name I have used for a long time now and my friends know it's probably me if they see it online.
I have the 60 running right now, two 40s and a 35 that need a lot of attention as they have been empty for about seven years now. The 60 is acrylic and I have had it for 18 years. I have not had the others as long but they are glass. I am looking for a 120 acrylic now to put in the man's cave.
