So I was starting to notice that some algae was creeping back into my tank and then I realized that my co2 has been diffusing as effectively. I realized I had a leak, at one of my connections. Turns out it was the bubble counter/sump bottle. I quickly cut off the silicone and while I was at it moved the check valve from sump to diffuser line, to reactor to sump line. I did all this and then realized a. It's 11:16pm b. I have no silicone. So I quickly grabbed a blue tac ball I have stashed and mended up the lines. Checked straight away no problems. Co2 running again. Wooo. Only temporary fix but much easier to work with but has me thinking could I use some form of putty or cement instead of silicone? I really hate using silicone, just everything I touch you know.

Oh well that's my quick solution to fixing a leak with no silicone.
