Are australian rainbows such as turqouise, boesemanis, etc. fin nippers? I'm wanting to add a couple types of tetras that have longer fins..Thanks in advance

Praecox rainbows aren't nippy. I don't know about any others.

The display tank at my LFS has a buttload of rainbows and some platies, keyhole cichlids, and random community fish. That's kind of the feel I'm going for but on a much smaller scale. I'm using a 55g and the display tank is a 265g..big difference haha. I'm looking at long fin red minors and some other tetras to go along with it. Any suggestions?

How about the blue tetra? Or if you want a larger variety that is similar in size to the rainbows, a columbian tetra? They are quite peaceful fish and non-aggressive.
