I've been trying to start a colony, but I seem to only be getting females. Is this finally a male I see?!

Awesome! I'd read up on identification, but this is my first time actually seeing the difference in person. Thanks!

I find that my males tend to hide more. Plus their duller color makes them harder to see. If you see a bunch of males swimming around tank them you know it is mating time

Males have straight belly and are smaller and less coloured. Females have curved belly and are bigger, more colorful.
