Red Algae

I have stated to grow some red algae on the rocks and the glass on one side of the tank. I have purple and some white algae and I was told that is fine. But I was just told that my red algae is toxic and I need to remove it. I just want to check to make sure its safe or not. Thanks so much

Pictures would help but if you can blow the algea off the rocks it's most likely Cyanobacteria
