Hi well the substrate looks great As for your 'monster' he/she looks totally stunning

dont have a red tail but an uncle does.. hes won best with it maybe twice out of four times.... Let me tell you your monster looks better than my uncles

Lol! I picked up some nice bits of goldvine yesterday for it so I will post pics (on another thread) when they are in the tank.

Organic potting soil capped with pea sized gravel and play sand. I use DIY osmocote root tabs and fish waste as substrate ferts.

Wow. I used cement sand and pea sized gravel. I'm thinking of starting to dose liquid ferts in addition to the fish waste lol

Yeah I dose liquid ferts and glut (excel) when I remember.
