I'm trying to keep the glasstop clean and noticed some salt on the edge of the lightstrip - also seeing it build up on the glasstop. I used plain water on a paper towel, but it's not getting the salt off.

Is there a way to get rid of the buildup from evaporation? Would a razor-blade scraper do it or would that scratch the glass?

I just take the whole glass top off and take it to the sink and rinse it all off with a sponge or dish rag.

If Dayna's suggestion doesn't work with warm water, try using white vinegar.
Just remember to rinse well and dry before putting the lid back on the tank.
