diatoms are a phase most tanks go through, they're food for many types of fish and as such wont last long unless your actively trying to keep them.

Those might be proteins that haven't dissolved in the water.

on which pump, is is a sump pump or just a powerhead... your fish will do fine without either for a day

The fiesta pic is the pump the second thing is a little pump that I found let me know if its good and the third pump is a small pump that I have here to unopened witch one should I use

we'll youre going to want to replace it as soon as you can but any flow is better than none and your fish will be ok for a short period of time with no flow.

One of my Blue-Green chromis does that occaisonally. He will just disappear for a few days and then he randomly appears schooling with the others
