I have sand as substrate and have a few plants. I'm looking to give the fish some extra hiding spots.

Do you prefer driftwood or rocks?

Also do you know of any reasonably priced online vendors?

I like to keep the front as open as possible for what I call free swim. Rocks you can find near a creek, lake, river etc. driftwood you can try a beach or again near some water like a lake or creek.

I bought my driftwood and found most of my rocks. Driftwood I got from my LFS. You could try aqua bid for driftwood or eBay.

I like both, in my 75 is all DW and plants, my 20 long is rocks DW and plants, and my 8g is only rocks. You can use certain rocks and DW to serve a purpose like raising and lowing DW but in the end their just decorations and its your own personal preference that decides which if both go in your tank. What do you like? What's your tanks theme?
