Salifert test kits

Anyone using these? I have a question about the iodine one.

I just purchased the iodine test kit today...I am confused about one thing..I ran the test for the iodide and I was able to get a reading which was in the safe zone..I ran the other 2 for the iodate and the iodine and the water was perfectly clear...there was no color at all or any dark blue particles..what does that mean?...I had added a small amount of the salifert iodine mix today so should I not be getting something on the iodate and iodine or are they just clear if they are safe? Totally confused and of course the website does not have a contact us and the instructions are very vague in regards to the results..mentions nothing about a clear reading..
