Unless you mean the genus of

Alveopora
Goniopora
and Porites, but PORITES which was my inquiry before has 12 types associated with it.
 
No, given the last two clues you should be able to narrow it down to just one. If you dont get it I will give you another clue
 
The only thing, given that you have your family correct, is Finger Coral. Noe of the others in the Porite specie, live in Carribean Waters. They are calm, deep water specie. I think you may want to give another clue. I'm out
 
The only one that I could guess really would be

Porites asteroides Mustard Hill Coral?
