Hello all,
Another question, I seem to have them daily.
A month cycling and still no nitrates (well any significant).
I do have a friend with a cycled tank(very small 15 litres)
She hardly has any gravel (so can't pinch that), a couple of decorations and obviously some water.
My nitrites have been high for two weeks now.
Is there anything I can pinch from her tank that will help me, or am I best to stick it out longer. Would some of her water work? If so, how much?
She is delighted that she has cycled, so I don't want to mess her tank up in anyway.

Any advice would be fab

I think if she can give you a small cut square of her filter sponge and you stick it in your filter that would be good enough.

+1. She might not be able to give you much since her tank is so small, but any little bit might help. Also this site sells pre-seeded active sponge filters; some members have had good luck with them (myself included). Just make sure you get an "active" one or else it's just an unseeded filter.
