Have a gold severums and have just adopted a green spotted scat. I didn't realise that they required sailine water as adults, I really like the fish and was wondering if severums could tolerate salt, I'm thinking not, but I would like to keep the scat?

Welcome to Aquarium Advice,

Yes you can acclimate a severum to brackish water if done slowly over time, although they generally come from soft acidic waters there are some in brackish coastal water. I'd recommend another tank dedicated to brackish if that's a option, scats and severum would ideally not make good tankmates.
