Sexing Agassizi

I picked up a couple of Agassizi yesterday. I was looking for a female cacatuoides, but they only had a tank full of Agassizi. Think I got a pair? They're still pretty young. The lighter ones were all down at the bottom, and the darker ones tended to stick to the top, like they'd been scared up there and had trouble getting enough to eat.

Like so many s and central American cichlids, you might not be able to tell sex until they mature a little. The males will develop quicker and get a little bigger. They will have longer, flowing fins that develop more into a long fine point, whereas the female will have a more blunted rounder tip on hers

I've sexed Cacatuoides fry at 1/2". It's in the body shape, but it can be hard to tell depending on how well fed they are.
