Should you add vinegar to kalkwasser?

If you are replacing all evaporation with kalk and it is not maintaining your levels...then adding white vinegar is an option you might consider. I have done it and it does boost the ca a good bit. One thing to look out for when adding vinegar to kalk is sediment binding, the by product of the spiked kalk is acetate, this willl feed the bacteria in your sandbed causing rapid reproduction and sediment binding from the enzyme they produce.
