Hello Pleco People

Hello you all...

Was asked to save an 8 inch yellow orange Pleco left in a 55 gallon tank with a dozen Black Platys. The tank only has about 30 gallons of water in it, but the fish seem active.

Am planning to take some 5 gallon buckets and drain the tank water into the buckets and net all the fish. Will keep them in the buckets long enough to remove the tank and set it up again.

Am sure the water in the tank is pretty bad, but will see can be done to improve the environment for the fish.

Never kept Plecos before, so we shall see.

B

This is mine! Can anyone help me identify what type he is? His name is Pléco, with a Spanish accent because he likes zucchini imported from Spain:p I got him yesterday for $4 but I have no idea what type of plecostamus he is. My albino common, also known as a chocolate pleco. I believe he was 13” last time he was measured. I’ve got another one that’s 9”, but I don’t have any pics of him.

Already did lol. The picture is from like half a year ago. I just saw it and was like plecos. Lol ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1405005044.336370.jpg

This guy here gave off some bad baby's they kepted dying had huge lumps on their heads and in general looked underdeveloped. Had to give him away and force the to make sure the buyer knew about his DNA issue lol he was bought to replace my original male which I apparently don't have any photos on my iPod. Gourgous bristles on him but he buried himself and some rocks fell. Last time I set up a breeder tank like that.

This is either a common or sailfin not sure lol he looks like a common but his belly shows different..
