I just got some ghost shrimp for my tank and now I think there such cool little guys (and gals) that I would like to set up a tank just for them so that babies will have a chance to survive. If I understand correctly they have little to no bio load so with that in mind do I need to cycle their tank before adding them? I'll be getting probably a 5g tank (maybe 10). Also should I get a small sponge filter or just an air stone for the tank (articles online say different things, of corse! Lol) or both? Anything else I'm forgetting about or need to also buy for them to thrive? -THANKS! :)

I would put them in a cycled tank. Since you already have a cycled tank, just move some filter media over or some substrate. You could use a sponge filter. I would use that instead of an airstone.
