Sorry for the cross-post, but I want to stop at the store on my way home from work to get what I need for my gal. I wanted to get some input before the day was through because I don't trust the expertise in town.

I'm a newbie, but just 2 weeks ago my celebes had pop-eye and acted fine otherwise. Last week the eye was gone, he did not eat, and was swimming near the top in circles, obviously disoriented and bumping into the tank. I've read that they can survive w/one eye, but I QT'd him just in case and he ended up dying. I've read that pop-eye can be a tuberculosis symptom, which is very difficult to cure. That's my 2 cents anyway. Good luck.

Any other thoughts? Fish store closes in an hour.....

Do I quarantine or treat the tank? I have a QT almost ready to go. I just need to buy a heater. The filter's running and it's full, it just happens to be 70F brrr.
