smelly fish water

I just recently purchased frozen feeder fish from a LFS called "hikari silversides".
My RTC loves em, eats em right out of my hand but I've noticed a change on the surface of the water and starting to smell real fishy... is this okay? Should i not feed these??

My LFS recommended using non iodized salt to reduce the smell but idk if that will solve your problem

The smell actually goes away after awhile.. I guess it just gets smelly when i put the food in the tank... oh well... hopefully it doesn't mess up my water
