Does anyone know anything about trumpet snails? I've got three and I've just seen a baby one in my tank. I've got two that have yellow bodies and one with a black body are these different sex's? What are the best conditions to get them to bread more? Thank you x

They are asexual meaning they do not need male and female to breed. One snail can breed up to 64 babies and they give birth not lay eggs. They can be many different colors. The yellow ones you have sound pretty. I have light creme colored ones with black dots and brown and I have seen a few dark ones. Just make sure they have food and they will reproduce. I have been over feeding one of my tanks because of fry and they have over produced. Time to move some to other tanks.

Thank you that's great news I really love them, I thought my geophagus might try and eat the babies but shes not interested so that's good.
