So, yea i have combined my 29 and 55 gallons together

So yea has the title says I did, I am very proud of it, I'm not done with it, but this will be a kind of journal to see how it progresses. What I did is that I got all my fish, decor, plants and sand from my 29 gallon, an put them in my 55 gallon, it looks amazing! I will post more pics tomorrow, it's just that the water is a bit cloudy, tell me what you think!

One of my six black kuhlis

My golden apple snail, it's still small, about the size of a nickel

My community betta

One of my two guppies

My Australian rainbow along with two out of three rosy barbs

My black Molly pair

My lone Otto car, will probably get him two more friends

My amazon sword

Small amazon sword, water wisteria, and Anubias nana

My other amazon sword and java fern

And my java fern planting with the Otto passing by

So that's the tank, again will be posting progress, I still need to show all the fish, and the big amazon sword has a planting coming too

I have a question for you. I'm quite new to fish-keeping and want to put some live plants into my tank. Do I need to run Co2? I have seen it used before but I'm wondering if it is necessary.

U can use API c02 booster along with API leaf zone and seachem flourish if you get a Amazon sword they are heavy root feeders so you needsome form of root tab

No it's not real driftwood, looks real huh? I got it at petsmart, and I think it is one of their best quality decoration items, though I am planning on putting in real DW
Co2 really helps your tank, though not necessary, not for simple plants like the ones I have, I am hesitating on adding liquid co2 because I plan on putting anacharis in and I am afraid it will melt the plants

It depends on what plants you have, it won't melt all plants, but I am not sure if the dosage really has anything to do

I have wisteria el nino Anubis x2 red tiger lotus Amazon sword banana plant

My anarchis melted without glut... Maybe it just hates me. Yet my rotala mini butterfly (deep red) Is growing fine.

Really? Wow I really want anacharis because I bought it finger long and in about 2 months it grew to the top of my 55 gallon tank, plus it looked very nice

Ok guys update

So, tank I'd flourishing, though because of school, I have let it fall a bit, two of my three amazon swords got unplanted and died, the other one is flourishing I want to add at least three or four more
I let my mom clean one of my plants, my huge water wisteria, and she accidentally ripped off the roots, it is currently floating to see if it recuperates
I went ahead and moved the java ferns, but some of my plants have some black stuff in them, any ideas of what it could be?
I added 3 nerite snails, I have to say I am very impressed with the clean up they do, I plan on adding 7 more, or maybe even add 15 to the tank
My apple snail ha also grown to be of golf ball size

The wisteria should be fine. If you just cut off a piece of a leaf, it will grow roots and become a little wisteria plant.
