my aqua-clear "mini" was creating a 'cyclone' and pushing my fish around the water, and pushing the food around...

so i reduced the siphon intake/input to create less current in the water.

correct me if i'm wrong..

but does the patented "refiltration grid" system on the aqua-clear mean that if you reduce the sucking power/siphon intake...

that the filter "WILL STILL" filter the 100gallons regardless of the reduced suction/siphon power???

No. As Hagen states on their website:

"Flow Control: Simply shift the patented "Flow Adjustment Control" at the intake siphon. When the "Flow Adjustment Control" is at its greatest blockage, AquaClear's input and exhaust volumes are approximately a third of its maximum capacity."

So, at least flow, about 33gph, and 50-60 gph at mid-way.
