Looks like one of the various forms of coralline algea, IMO.

I've had one, looks almost identical, for over 5 years. Growth is almost non- existant!! Also have a white variety, with a skinnier structure, really cool looking, almost like icicles.
I'm still amazed at the things that spring up!

Ah k kewl. Atleast its nothing nasty... Yeah i know its awesome. I havent had much spring up. Mayb when i set the other tank up ill order a heap of lr instead of just getting it out of tank at lfs. fingers crossed i can finally move and set it up soon. Thanks again
