Species identification

Hello fellow aquarist I just bought what I thought was a brittlenose pleco but when I got home and finally looked at it, it looks less like a pleco and more like a type of cory. Here are some pictures

I can't really figure it out. Could be a synodontis.

I think betta is rigth look up syndonitis catfish.

He does a lot of his time upside down so it may be

Appears to be a young Synodontis eupterus, will lose that patterning as it grows and will be light grey and spotted, grows to a fairly hefty size, 8" or so with some attitude.

Yeah I agree. Do you have shrimp pellets?? If so put in a few after lights out and he should eat them.

I don't know if i would suggest shrimp pellets, as much as they like them they arent typocally a healthy food, especially wardley brand which contains a load of phosphorous, means a lot of algae growth, id suggest sinking omega one pellets, Xtreme, or NLS, which contain all natural ingredients, whole krill instead of fish meal etc.

I shouldve been more specific. Those are all good brands but I feed Aqueon and it seems to be pretty good too. But Omega One and NLS are definitely the best!

Oh ive never heard of that brand before, ill have to check it out, around my area wardleys the only readily available shrimp pellet
